In 2021, we secured funding for our exhibitions programme In Cahoots, where were able to support artists with a budget and space/equipment to create new installation works that would be free to access. Alongside this we worked on educational arts programmes such as Horizons, and began a yearly collaboration with Astles at his Christmas Gig. This year we also held the first in person Birkenhead International Film Festival, and our first art auction!

In Cahoots Programme (& Launch Event)

In Cahoots was a year long programme ran by Convenience in 2021/2022. Featuring exhibitions from Merseyside artists.

See images of programme launch here and further details from the programme.

On the Brightside, Jon Edgley (In Cahoots)

Exploring and questioning the concept of positivity in the 21st century and its application in our lives. “On the Bright Side” is an interactive snapshot of the positivity spectrum, its use and understanding. From its sincere side of love, connection and support to its more troublesome side of denial and overgeneralization.

Space is the Place, Patric Rogers & Angelo Madonna (In Cahoots)

Space is the Place is Patric Rogers in collaboration with Angelo Madonna's deeply personal memoir to his most sacred of spaces, Hilbre Island. It is a cerebral exhibition project exploring the psychogeography of one of Wirral's iconic landmarks. Space is the Place encourages the viewer to connect deeper to the environments and places around them and to explore how our connection to place is made through our experiences, dreams, memories and through the landscape itself.
