Uncovering Birkenhead's Working Class History, Convenience Gallery X Historic England.

Convenience received £9985 from Historic England to explore the working class history of Birkenhead. Collecting 100s of oral histories, and creatively responding with artworks from:  Astles, Charlie Ann Buxton, Jon Edgley, Tash Evans, David Bell/ Sugarshack Soundsystem and Declan Connolly

BIOART: 

A science and arts collaboration consultation workshop series, in collaboration with Wirral Council and Di Mainstone.

Convenience were commissioned to discover more about Wirrals Dock Branch Line, working with Artists and Scientists to envision futures for that place.

St Monica's School Mural

Working with Amy Flynn (Dripped Goods) and the pupils of year 6 we produced a brand new mural for the School in Bootle.

M&S Bank Arena Showcase.

Featuring artwork from, Zahra, Elisa Sallis, Jason Hollis, Jon Edgley, Luke George, Max Mallender, Joana de Oliveira Guerreiro, & Mia Cathcart.

The idea of this collaboration was to highlight local artists and sell their work.

Convenience Store: Online curated sale platform

This site was begun in connection with work ongoing at M&S Bank Arena, Manchester Contemporary and as way to support the local cultural economy.

Convenience launched an online sales platform for local artists. The shop closed in late 2024.

Astles @ Philharmonic Music Room - Community Banner Workshop

3rd annual collaboration with wonderful musician Dan Astles. Some of our volunteers worked with dan on creating a backdrop and banner.

ELLSQUARED Workshop at Mallory & Irvine

Duo Ellsquared worked with the Mallory & Irvine team to run a workshop for the building launch events. Participants were able to take part in rug tufting. Creating an illustrated map of Birkenhead with iconic landmarks.
