Lo Tierney

Lo Tierney is a Liverpool-based artist, illustrator and activist. They graduated from LJMU in 2015 with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design and Illustration and have been working freelance ever since.

They specialise in activism-based art and portraiture. A few of their clients include; The Walker Art Gallery, Open Culture, Comics Youth, The Whitechapel Centre, Convenience Gallery and Birmingham International Dance Festival.

Tierney had their first solo exhibition, called Spectrum, at Output Gallery in March 2020. As they are autistic themselves, their show highlighted the diversity of autistic people and celebrated them whilst educating the public who came to visit.

Their influences include Laura Chapman, Henri Matisse, drag culture, Liverpool, Yayoi Kasama and riot grrrl.”

Workshop:

The theme of the workshop is climate activism and will involve making a large, collaborative poster!
