Ellie Brennan
Ellie Brennan is an emerging artist from Middlesbrough, currently based in Manchester. Her work is an exploration of class, food and comfort,and provides a critical look at the state of a country in desperate need of change. Through the creation of labour intensive rugs, banners and miscellaneous textile pieces, she attempts to reinvent traditional making methods and adapt them for modern applications.Ellie hopes that her work champions therapeutic self-teaching, as well as communal learning and supporting one another.

We first worked with Ellie on a series of workshop. She has twice lead sold out Punch Needle workshops, with a high quality and fantastic teaching.
Ellie has exhibited her work with us at the first iteration of Studio Shuffle.
